Sometimes a place you visit just seems perfect and to us that place is New Zealand. From cosmopolitan Auckland on the North Island to the outdoor adventure hub of Queenstown in the South, we encountered friendly people, enjoyed the regional cuisine, and were amazed by the most spectacular scenery of anywhere we’ve ever been. As a friend in Auckland proclaimed, “New Zealand is the world in HD”. A young, proud and progressive nation one is taken with their enthusiasm and can do spirit. Modern and stunning architecture abounds as befitting an optimistic and growing country. Abundant mountains, rivers, and coastal waters make this an outdoor wonderland for hikers, skiers, kayakers and sailors. Ten pictures cannot do a country like New Zealand justice, but here are my favorites with a promise of more to follow.
